January 2, 2009 - Ms. Starr and Ms. Jackie at the Dance Gallery It was a wonderful experience!  Ms. Starr with Jackie and Becky on her first visit to the Dance Gallery in November 2008. | Dance Gallery Hosts Ballet Workshop On Friday, January 2nd 2009, Dance Gallery will be hosting a ballet master class by Starr Danias - professional ballet dancer from New York. Her experience is vast - she has studied with ballet greats such as George Balanchine along with scholarship studies at ABT (American Ballet Theater), SAB (School of American Ballet), and the Joffrey. Starr also played an important role alongside Shirley MacClaine, Anne Bancroft, Mikhail Baryshnikov, and Leslie Browne in the dance movie "The Turning Point." This class opportunity is open to ballet dancers in Cecchetti III and Russian III and up. The class will be a technique class in the Vaganova Russian method. If you plan to attend, you must sign up in the office and pay the class fee to secure your spot. Checks should be payable to Dance Gallery.
