Yoga for everyone.

You don't have to be super flexible to do yoga.  Just do what is right for you and your body.  Take it one moment at a time.  Breathe...and enjoy!

 


 

Elements of a Yoga Class:

  • Breathing (pranayama) & centering to calm the nerves & focus the mind.
  • Gentle warm-up to loosen the joints & warm the muscles. 
  • Yoga asanas (poses) that build strength & increase flexibility throughout the body.
  • Savasana - a time of relaxation & renewal for the mind, body & spirit.

 Things to wear or have in your bag:

  • Comfortable clothes - layered to remove or add as you desire.
  • A yoga mat. 
  • Socks  - for warm-up and for savasana at the end of class.
  • A blanket - to use as a prop & as a cover.
  • A water bottle - re-useable is great!
